Just a quick post here. Presenting Lyn Devon S/S 09. We simply adore this and reminds us so much of the a blend of YSL with Lacoste. We love the simplicity of this collection. It will surely be very wearable and easy to mix things up. The yellow is just superb. Trying to find more pictures to post it up here. Fingers crossed.

It was only 2 days ago when we gave a preview of Prada’s Pre-Fall 2009. And now it seems that our hypothesis has been spot-on – it has been inspired by label mate Miu Miu. The Miu Miu Pre-Fall 2009 collection signals a school-girl approach with a nod to uniforms, working the male-female element via wool flannels and silk crepes bonded together. Many looks featured pristine cotton blouses, at times sleeveless, and with beribboned necklines or Peter Pan collars. And from the pictures here, it seems that they share the same lux cashmere, wools and furs with Prada.

Thats a bad-ass ribbon!

Seems like the scarf is making a huge comeback. At the recent men’s fashion runway show, almost all labels have some looks that features think and dreamy looking “Palestine” scarf. Compliments the metro-sexual look (we are Alpha-male fans by the way). So what about the ladies? Thank goodness we came across Organic Giraffe that makes scarf that is this big and looks just as good when twisted around your neck. It’s all in the fabric and it is way cool.

A quick update and preview of the upcoming Fall 2009 collection by Prada. It will appear that Prada is trying to trend set with emphasis on creating “volumes”. With the use of luxe fabrics, a mostly black and gray collection with shots of deep wine that featured outerwear and day looks in sumptuous cashmere, wools and furs, as well as more formal options like embellished silk satin dresses. It does really look Prada-ish, but it’s very glamorous and we love it. Expect great things from Prada this year.

This is so desirable!

Constance McCardle designs pieces with  “A beautiful blend of antique textiles, vintage embroidery, hand painted fabrics and laces combined with new couture fabrics“. Check out her collections from the webstore.  Well, they do look gorgeous but somehow it gave us some inspiration to just DIY some of our “vintage” clothes that have been shoved in a cupboard never to be seen. Time to get the dinosaurs out of your closet.

Very sexy indeed. Feels like 70s all over again

We are back from a much needed retreat. Wanted to catch a good holiday back in December 2008 but the party invites kept coming. So a sincere apologies for being away for 2 weeks or so.  To start it off again, time for some men’s fashion. Just at the turn of the year, GQ short listed 6 of the top american Menswear Designers. We must say that the choices were excellent and we were introduced to some names that we have never know. Surely we have to read more men’s fashion magazine. The lukcy 6 were

  • Andre (Benjamin) 3000 for Benjamin Bixby
  • Alex Carleton for Rogues Gallery
  • Robert Geller for Robert Geller
  • David Mullen for Save Khaki
  • Sam Shipley and Jeff Halmos for Shipley & Halmos
  • Yigal Azrouel for Yigal Azrouel

Here are some pic of their designs. Gain some inspiration for your boyfriend/husband next birthday gifts.

For girls out there celebrating lunar new year, are you are done with the new year shopping? Need some inspiration on what to wear and how to impress? Look no further than Vivienne Tam’s Spring 2009 collection which should be available now in stores. The collection features sveral flowy maxi dresses in a petal print. Looked lovely especially those in snazzy chiffon silks. Nice use of the graphic prints too.

Those shoes! We want it!

Patent dress. Doesn’t really go in line with the others.

We warned your guys before and we are going to warn you again. The South American labels is definately going to launch an invasion into the fashion scene. We died just by looking at the recent pictures taken from the recent São Paulo fashion week. We are showcasing the Animale F/W 09/10 collection. Simply amazing. Just for info, Animale is a huge label in Brazil with Southern Brazilian supermodel Raquel Zimmermann is the new face of Animale in Brazil this season. For more information on Animale, visit www.animale.com.br

We have seen quite a few men using money clips rather than a proper wallet to hold cash, and we never quite really understood why would anyone use a money clip. Firstly, it is very untidy. Secondly, it can get quite unsightly especially when the notes are of different sizes and different quality (fresh notes vs crumbled notes, unless you spend time to iron them!). So when our female colleague came in with a Ferragamo money clip just yesterday, we had a close look at this device. Actually, it is really stylish if you plan to just carry the bare essentials (forget about credit cards et al). And after some research online, we are going to get one for ourselves just to try it out. Here are more designs from Ferragamo.

Tiffany & Co.’s money clips. Clean and sleek.

John Galliano’s The new pre-fall collection for Christian Dior designed from the hands of Jon Galliano looks stunning. On first glance, these pieces look really strong and graphic, but they oozes feminine. Bulk of the collection are long dresses and coats, with a number of double-faced wool suits and luxurious furs and evening dresses. One of the best we have seen from Christian Dior for a couple of years now. Bravo.

Amazing. Our favourite.
